Guidance on downloading and getting ready to play:

  “The PRINCESS and the BLAGGARDS”

There are a lot of pages to download:    4 pages for the PLAYING BOARD
                      4 pages of PLAYING CARDS
                      1 page of ‘PLAYERS’ cards
                      4 pages of Playing RULES
1 page of ‘ODDS & ENDS’

THE BOARD:

Game Board Final 3DsmYou can print the 4 sheet Game Board on paper and begin to play but it would be better to make a more durable Playing surface by mounting the printed pages on sturdy card. (Printing on good quality textured paper will give you a more attractive board.)

Each sheet has dotted red lines on two sides; using a good straightedge and a sharp knife, trim to the lines. This will give you edges to ‘butt join’ to make the full board.

  •  Alternatively, cut the left hand side of sheets 2 and 4 and the tops of sheets 3 and 4; this will allow you to ‘overlap’ the sheets and give you a strip for gluing.
  •  If you want to make a ‘proper’ game board, also cut off the bottom of sheets 1 and 2.

To make a ‘proper’ Game Board, you will need 2 x A3 sheets of mounting board/card. (if your board is quite thin, you could double the thickness using 4 sheets. Use strong adhesive tape, ‘Gaffer’ tape is good, to make a hinge; apply the tape WITH THE ‘BOARD’ FOLDED.

You can cover the outside of the board with coloured/patterned paper, or thin fabric, before gluing on the Playing Surfaces.

You will need a DICE and 4 ‘counters’ to represent the 4 Knights, the Players.

*There is also a sheet of ‘extras’, things that you might find useful
